New England Micrographics, Inc. was founded in 1980 by Paul R. Monahan, Jr., a pioneer in the microfilm industry with deep roots in preservation work through his time at Graphic Microfilm of New England. As a father of eight, Paul built the company on the principles of dedication, reliability, and a commitment to preserving history. From its earliest days, the company has served the imaging and preservation needs of publishers, libraries, museums, municipalities, and private collectors throughout New England.
A Legacy of Excellence
New England Micrographics, Inc. gained national attention when it was featured on the television series Chronicle in 2009. In 1992, the company was honored with the responsibility of preserving The Calvin Coolidge Collection—an archive of rare presidential and gubernatorial documents. Today, our microfilm is housed in hundreds of libraries across the United States. Our climate-controlled facility in Massachusetts currently safeguards over 3,000 titles and more than 100,000 rolls of archival film.
Now in its second generation, New England Micrographics, Inc. remains a family-owned and operated business. What began as a local service has grown into a trusted resource for thousands of organizations. Despite our growth, we continue to treat every project with the care and attention it deserves.
